PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — This coming weekend, Rick Walt and Walt Motorsports will roll into Peterborough Speedway, looking to score their third feature victory on the season.
In four previous trips to the ‘patch’, Walt has been up front each of the races, scoring a pair of victories. The first trip resulted in a flat tire with a couple laps left in the race taking him out of contention. The following pair of trips resulted in a pair of victories, including a win at the Chase for the Colors to score the pole for the Autumn Colors Classic feature in October.
Last weekend, starting at the back of the field, he worked his way through the field and was closing on the leaders, but a mechanical failure resulted in an early-end to the night.
The success has been a common theme for Walt this year across the province, as with 20 features in the books across a pair of different tracks, he has scored eight top-fives and 10 top-10 finishes.
When it comes to this weekend, it’ll just be a matter of putting the pieces together once again for more success.
