INNISFIL, Ontario — Despite battling hard and leading laps, Jordan Latimer would come up shy of finishing in the top-10 in either of the two features.
Jordan Latimer started off the night by qualifying 13th for the first 35-lap feature. The rookie would battle hard throughout, though fell back to the 14th spot by lap 25. He would then solidly run in the same spot till the checkered flag for a 14th place finish.
As a result of the 14-car invert, Jordan Latimer would start on pole behind the wheel of his No. 90 KICX 106, 104.1 The Dock, Creechers Design, Kitchen Tire, Krueger Electrical Services, North River Motorsports, Tax Smart, T&C Construction & Welding, AC Electric, TSS Top Shops, HWY 400 Transmission, Shepherd Family Trucking, JRH Auto Body, EPIC Racewear, Get Jack @ RE/MAX and OnePromo.ca Late Model for the second 35-lap feature.
He would grab the early advantage ahead of the field, leading the first 10 laps before being passed for the lead by Travis Hallyburton. He would continue to run second, knee-deep in lap traffic till Scott Wylie got alongside him for the spot at lap 27. Wylie would be able to complete the pass, putting Latimer third as the first caution flew at lap 28 for a spin deep in the field.
The restart would see the leader check-out as Latimer would go three-wide with a pair of fellow competitors for second. There would be contact in the process, with a piece of debris coming off of Latimer’s car for the caution. The track officials would then have Latimer line-up eighth for the restart, sighting that they made their way in the midst of chaos before the caution came out.
Restarting in the eighth spot with four laps to go, Latimer would drop back a couple spots in the final laps to cross the finish line in 11th.
