Blake Jones will return to Lira Motorsports at Salem Speedway for his sixth ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards start of the year. It will be the young driver from Sevierville, Tennessee’s third start for the team, after top collecting top ten finishes at both Iowa Speedway and Berlin Raceway.
Blake, who won the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 200 at Talladega Superspeedway earlier this year, will take over the driver’s seat of Lira Motorsports number 58 car for Friday night’s Federated Car Care Fall Classic 200. He will continue to pilot the #58 for the final two races of the year, at Kentucky Speedway on the 25th and at Kansas Speedway in October.
Blake Jones on racing at Salem Speedway: “I’m excited to have the opportunity to finish out the year in the 58 car for Lira Motorsports. I can’t thank the Lira family and Lira Motorsports Competition Director Teddy Brown enough for this opportunity, and for all they have done to help me. I also want to thank my sponsors that are making this possible; Asphalt Services of TN, Blake Jones Racing Center, Momo, TraqGear and Ford Performance.”
“I think the Federated Car Care Fall Classic 200 is going to be a wild race. I have raced at Bristol Motor Speedway before, so I feel that I am somewhat prepared for the type of racing that high-banked, half-mile tracks create. Lira Motorsports is assembling a top-notch team, and victory lane at Salem Speedway is definitely within our reach! Our goal is to end the season strong, and make connections with sponsors that will put us in position to run the full season next year.”
Blake is part of Lira Motorsports four-driver line-up for Salem Speedway. The Federated Car Care Fall Classic 200 is the first race in which the team, in its first year of ARCA Racing competition, is fielding four cars. To date, the team has collected 15 top ten ARCA finishes, including one win at Chicagoland Speedway with driver Ryan Reed.
