David Levine is ready to put all of the short track experience he has gained this year to work as the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards makes its second annual visit to Salem Speedway this weekend. The Saturday night Federated Car Care Fall Classic 200 is the 18th of twenty races on the ARCA Racing schedule, and the last of the year on a short track.
David had a successful outing in his first visit to the high-banked Indiana .555 mile track in April, collecting a 9th place finish, as well as CGS Imaging Hard Charger Award honors for the race. In that race, David started from the 25th position after rain forced the cancellation of qualifying, setting the starting grid by 2014 car owner points.
David enters Saturday’s race at 5th in the ARCA Series driver points standings, and leading the Scott Rookie Challenge standings. He, along with his Lira Mototsports number 59 Momo / Ford Performance/ TraqGear team, had a successful test at Salem Speedway on Monday.
David Levine on returning to Salem Speedway: “We learned a lot in Monday’s test, and my comfort level on these short tracks has increased a huge amount since we raced here in April. I’ll also have three teammates to compare notes and work with, which is a definite positive. I’m excited for Saturday night’s race!”

On-track schedule: On Saturday, September 19th, the ARCA Series drivers have practice from 12:30-1:15pm, followed by final practice from 1:45-2:30. Menards Pole Qualifying Presented by Ansell is set for 4:00. There is an autograph session shortly after the completion of qualifying, from 4:45-5:15. The green flag for the Federated Car Care Fall Classic 200 is scheduled for 7:15pm. The race distance is 200 laps (111 miles).
