INNISFIL, Ontario — On Saturday night at Sunset Speedway, Eric Yorke ran up front throughout the whole feature en route to a third place finish.
Yorke started off by finishing fifth in his heat, followed by a sixth place finish in the Fast Qualifier’s Dash.
Starting the feature from the sixth spot, Yorke would move up to fourth on lap two. He would continue to run fourth till lap 13 when he was able to get by eventual champion Doug Butler for third. The caution would then fly a lap later, though, for debris.
Following the restart, he would battle side-by-side once again with Butler for third, with the pair remaining side-by-side till the second caution flew with 13 laps to go in the 35-lap feature. The restart allowed the pair to continue battling, with Yorke getting the third spot with nine laps to go.
He would then hold on to it over the final laps, crossing the finish line in third for his fourth straight top-five finish.
