INNISFIL, Ontario — On Saturday night at Sunset Speedway, Terry Woodley had another strong run, posting a ninth place finish in the 35-lap feature.
Woodley started off the night by finishing sixth in his heat, qualifying him for the fast qualifier’s dash and the feature. He would then finish ninth in the fast qualifer’s dash.
Come feature time, Terry Woodley would start the No. 6 Zeggil Custom Homes.com, CARS Collingwood Automotive Repair Services, Lil Loads, PWL Electricial, Greenview Graphics, Nottawasaga Mechanical Nissan on pole. Division Champion Doug Butler would grab the lead from Woodley on the opening lap, with Woodley battling three-wide for second with a pair of the track’s front runners. The caution would then fly, though, for a spin deep in the field.
Following the restart, the quicker cars would start to make their way through the traffic, bumping Woodley back to the seventh spot as he battled side-by-side with 2013 Division Champion Warren Paxton. Woodley would fall back to ninth by lap 11. He would back up to eighth with 13 laps to go, though fell back to ninth shortly thereafter the late-race restart.
He would battle hard over the final laps en route to the ninth place finish.
