BRANDT Backstretch…Chicagoland’s backstretch wall will look a little bit different this weekend. BRANDT will also have a large tent along the backstretch for their approximately 200 guests this weekend.
Richmond II Race Recap…The NSCS completed its second-consecutive night race last weekend at Richmond International Raceway, and the final race before the Chase for the Sprint Cup. Allgaier advanced to the second round of qualifying, and earned the 18th starting spot, his best RIR starting position to date. After a race with unusually long green-flag runs, Allgaier ended the evening with a 25th-place finish in the BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevy for HScott Motorsports.
Justin Allgaier on Chicagoland Speedway:
“Chicagoland [Speedway] is special for me for many reasons. It’s not only my home track, but it’s where I made my Sprint Cup Series debut a couple of years. That’s a day that I’ll never forget. It’s also the home track for my sponsor, BRANDT Professional Agriculture. They’ll have a lot of guests at the track on Sunday, and I’m going by the headquarters before I head to the track this weekend. As far as on the track, we’ve been making gains at HScott Motorsports on our mile-and-a-half program. I really want to build some momentum for the guys these last few races. They’ve been working really hard at the shop and deserve it.”
Crew Chief Steve Addington on Chicagoland Speedway:
“Justin really likes Chicagoland and that’s always helpful going into the weekend. It’s a mile-and-a-half and he’s progressively gotten better at those tracks. It looks like the weather should be really nice and fairly consistent this weekend, which helps us. It’s a big weekend for BRANDT, and I really want to get a good finish for them.”
