Brennan Poole to drive No. 21 DC Solar Chevrolet Silverado for GMS Racing.
Statesville, N.C. (September 28, 2015) – Brennan Poole will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) debut with GMS Racing at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Saturday, October 3 in the Rhino Linings 350.
Though Poole is new to the NCWTS circuit, he is no stranger to the racing world. The 24-year-old has accumulated 216 wins and nine Championships in 24 different states with a background in dirt and asphalt racing. Before making his NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) debut this season. Poole cut his teeth in his Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) debut in 2011, winning in his first ever start at Salem (Ind.) Speedway.
The Texas native will return to the site of his NASCAR debut and first career top-10 finish, which occurred in March in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. Poole has long been sponsored by DC Solar, a green energy company that specializes in mobile solar products, including generators, light towers and electric vehicle charging stations.
“I am really excited to be making my NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut with GMS Racing,” said Poole. “I am thankful for the opportunity that DC Solar and GMS Racing has given me; GMS Racing is a great organization and I am confident that they will supply me with a strong truck to put on a great show for the fans.”
Director of Competition Mike Beam added, “Everyone at GMS Racing is really excited to have a talented young driver like Brennan as well as a great sponsor like DC Solar come onboard for the race this weekend in Las Vegas. Even with it being Brennan’s first start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series I feel like he will adapt quickly and contribute to the team.”
DC Solar Founder and CEO Jeff Carpoff added, “Brennan embodies the spirit of DC Solar. He’s a new generation of driver committed to going out there and giving it 100% every day. It’s that attitude that makes him a perfect fit with this young GMS team.”
The Rhino Lining 350 coverage will begin at 10:00pm Eastern on Saturday, October 3. The 146-lap event will be broadcasted live on Fox Sports 1. The race can also be heard on MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
