INNISFIL, Ontario — This past weekend at Sunset Speedway, A.J. Emms battled the handling of his No. 99 ADAMS Motorsports Modified en route to a 15th place finish.
He would start off the weekend by finishing fifth and ninth in his heats on Saturday.
Come Sunday afternoon, Emms would start 13th for the 40-lap feature as a result of his qualifying effort. Emms would look to start making his climb to the front, but would make slight contact with Dan Price when he spun in turn three and four on lap eight.
Restarting at the back of the field, Emms was poised to start making his climb through, but it seemed the handling was off a bit on his modified. As a result when the caution flew for a second time at lap 21, Emms took advantage of the opportunity to come down pit road for more adjustments.
Once again restarting at the back of the field, Emms once again looked poised to make his way through the field. He was able to make some passes, but not as many as he would’ve hoped en route to crossing the finish line in 15th.
Emms will now head to Peterborough Speedway for the Autumn Colors Classic to close out the 2015 season. Details can be found through the Peterborough Speedway website at http://www.peterboroughspeedway.com.
