TALLADEGA, AL — NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers Danica Patrick, Aric Almirola, AJ Allmendinger and Ryan Blaney are scheduled to appear for a Talladega Superspeedway special youth autograph session during the CampingWorld.com 500 / fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola race weekend upcoming Oct. 23-25.
On Saturday, Oct. 24 at 10:45 a.m. (CDT) in the track’s Hospitality Village, located behind the Birmingham Tower outside the frontstretch, the first 100 children (12 and under only) to pick up a wristband at the main Guest Services Office located at OV Hill South Grandstand Section L will have the chance to get an autograph from each participating driver (limit one per child and time permitting). Participants will be allowed to start lining up for the youth autograph session at 10:00 a.m. (CDT).
Talladega Superspeedway has great ticket offers for kids 12 & under for both Saturday and Sunday, which will showcase the final race of the Contender Round in the NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup in which the list of 12 eligible drivers to the title will be reduced to eight at the checkered flag. Those kids’ deals include $50 off the regular price throughout the lower grandstands and towers while they can sit free in the fourth turn Gadsden grandstand while supplies last.
Patrick, driver of the No. 10 Chevrolet for Stewart-Haas Racing, is a perennial fan favorite who made Talladega Superspeedway history in 2014 when she became the first woman ever to lead a lap in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition at the 2.66-mile facility.
Almirola drives the famed No. 43 Ford for Richard Petty Motorsports, and its owner Richard Petty, who went to Victory Lane twice at Talladega Superspeedway (the 1974 Talladega 500 and the 1983 Winston 500). Almirola, who was a participant in the 2014 NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup, hopes to be in the field again this year when the green flag is dropped on the Alabama 500.
Allmendinger, driver of the No. 47 Chevrolet for JTG Daugherty Racing, was also a participant in the NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup last year. He has started inside the top four at Talladega Superspeedway four times in his career, and his best finish is a fifth-place effort, in May of 2014.
Blaney, the son of former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Dave Blaney, will drive the famed No. 21 Ford for the Wood Brothers, who have won at Talladega Superspeedway five times over the years. Blaney made a big splash on Talladega’s high banks for the Woods in the spring, starting third and finishing fourth in the GEICO 500.

The epic weekend at Talladega Superspeedway kicks off on Friday, Oct. 23 with practice sessions for both the fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola and the CampingWorld.com 500. Saturday’s slate includes qualifying for both events and the green flag for the fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola. Sunday’sCampingWorld.com 500 is set for a 1:30 (CDT) start.
