The countdown has begun to this weekend’s exciting finale to the 2015 V8 Supercars Championship.
The title will be decided at the Coates Hire Sydney 500 at Sydney Olympic Park, starting this Friday December 4.
After 33 races beginning with the Clipsal 500 Adelaide in February, the Championship has come down to two drivers – Mark Winterbottom and Craig Lowndes.
Winterbottom leads Lowndes by 179 points with 300 points up for grabs in Sydney. Winterbottom is looking to win his first V8 Supercars Championship while Lowndes is looking for his fourth title and first since 1999.
The on-track action will start on Friday with three 30-minute practice sessions. Saturday will feature two qualifying sessions and two 125km races. Sunday will feature qualifying and the final 250km race starting at 3:45pm AEDT.
The Coates Hire Sydney 500 will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Channel 506 across Friday, Saturdayand Sunday and simulcast live on Network Ten on both Saturday and Sunday. Please check local guides for times.
