December 28, 2015)- The Lucas Oil Can-Am Midgets have added Lancaster National Speedway to their 2016 schedule.
“We are glad to have the Lucas Oil Can-Am TQ Midgets coming back to Lancaster National Speedway and Dragway this season,” said Tim Packman, Track President. “Their history and unique look with the wings on their cars has already been well received with great anticipation from our fans. The 2016 season is going to be a great one at Lancaster and having the Can-Am TQ Midgets is just more proof of the good racing fans can expect.”These ‘Winged Warriors’ will take to the track on Saturday, August 13th. They will be joined by Sportsman, Street Stock, and 4-Cylinders and the Lucas Oil Can-Am Midgets will designate this race as their annual ‘Harry Macy Memorial Race’. Macy, one of the Original Founding Members of the Can-Am Midget Club passed away more than 2 years ago, but his presence can still be felt in the enthusiasm of the racers he led along the way and with his love for this Club.
Ken Lorenz, President, Can-Am Midget Racing Club, Inc. said “We were honored when Tim Packman called to invite us and we look forward to being back at one of the original speedways where the Club has it’s roots. Over the 50 years that the Can-Am Midgets have raced, a few of tracks have closed but we are excited to be part of the resurgence of Lancaster National Speedway. Thanks to Tim Packman and everyone involved, especially ‘The Lancaster Fans’ who are proud of ‘Our House’, we really look forward to being included in 2016 and to ‘Make Memories’.”
