After separating from Richard Petty Motorsports at the end of the season, JGL Racing team manager Steve Lane confirmed to Motorsport.com that Dakoda Armstrong will be driving the team’s No. 28 Toyota Camry.
The report also states that the organization will run Joe Gibbs Racing motors with Lane serving as Armstrong’s crew chief.
The 24-year-old finished 12th in last year’s points standings, following a six-race stint with Richard Childress Racing.
J.J. Yeley drove the No. 28 Camry last year, finishing 12th in points with a season-high fourth at Talladega Superspeedway for the team’s sole top-10 performance of the season.
