THOMASVILLE, North Carolina – Rick Ware Racing (RWR) is preparing for their 25th anniversary racing season in 2016.
RWR, owned by former racer Rick Ware is known for competing in multiple different series with unique partnerships for the last few decades. With a refreshed look, the Thomasville, North Carolina-based team is looking forward to NASCAR’S season-opener at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway next month.
The team will field two full-time cars for the 2016 NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) season. A third part-time car will go to powerhouse events for marketing partners and drivers including superspeedways and road courses.
To celebrate the team’s achievement, the team will run the No. 25 Chevrolet Camaro in XFINITY Series competition, joining the No. 15 Chevrolet Camaro as its full-time car numbers. The No. 17 has been chosen for its part-time entry.
Additionally, RWR will also compete in a limited NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule with the intent to grow into a full-time program to complement the XFINITY Series program. Currently, RWR plans to field a truck at both Martinsville (Va.) Speedways events, Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway, Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway and Texas Motor Speedway.
Driver, crew chief and marketing partnership placement will be announced in the coming weeks.
