Southeast Super Trucks Series 2015 series champion, Lee Tissot, will drive for CM Driver Development & Leasing in the Winter Meltdown at Greenville-Pickens Speedway on Saturday February 6.
Tissot, a short track veteran, will compete in the Southeast Super Trucks Series race, which is one of four divisions that will compete in the event.
Tissot’s championship run in 2015 consisted of five wins and 12 top-four finishes in 12 races. A brand new race truck that he will run in 2016 is currently under construction and will be ready for the first series points race on March 26 at Tri-County Motor Speedway.
The short track ace won the Southeast Super Trucks Series event at Greenville-Pickens last season, so he knows how to get around the upstate South Carolina speedway. Couple that with the high level of experience the team has at the venue, and Tissot will definitely be a threat to win the $3000 purse.
Practice day for the Winter Meltdown will be on Friday February 5. On Saturday, practice will begin at 10am, qualifying is scheduled to start at 12:15, with the green flag falling on the main events at 2pm.
