Back in Black: The No. 44 Zachry Camry will be ‘back in flat black’ debuting this season’s primary paint scheme of black and various shades of green at Atlanta Motor Speedway. After coming off a solid run in Daytona, David Starr is ready to take on the 1.5-mile quad-oval. In only three NASCAR XFINITY Series starts at this facility, Starr has an average starting position of 29.7 and an average finishing position of 26.7. Currently 12th in driver’s points, Starr and the No. 44 team are hopeful the momentum gained last weekend will set the stage for a strong finish in the Heads Up Georgia 250.
No. 44 Zachry Camry: Crew Chief Frank Kerr and the No. 44 Zachry team will unload chassis No. 1001. This chassis was formerly known as TSM 001 and was ran in the November 2015 NXS races at Texas and Homestead.
Starr’s Thoughts: “I am looking forward to going to Atlanta this weekend and getting back to 1.5-mile racing. We’re coming off a solid run in Daytona where we built a lot of momentum heading into Atlanta. Frank Kerr has implemented a lot of changes in the off-season and I’m excited for how those changes have already had a positive influence on our program.”
Additional Notes:
– This will mark Starr’s 76th NASCAR XFINITY Series start
– Starr will make and appearance at the XFINITY Zone located in the midway at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Friday, February 26 at 11:00am.
