BROOKLYN, Mich. (March 2, 2016) — Michigan International Speedway and Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan have always shared a dedication to providing top-rate customer service. Now the two companies share another passion – the high speed thrills of NASCAR.
“At Farm Bureau Insurance we are focused on Michigan and only Michigan,” said Vic Verchereau, Farm Bureau Insurance Vice President of Marketing. “We align with other great Michigan companies that share our values. To love Michigan means that you understand and embrace all that there is to do and experience in this great state. An organization like Michigan International Speedway is more than just fun entertainment and exciting events. The organization believes, like we do, that Michigan is not simply a market; it is our home. That’s why we don’t simply put up signs to advertise, we look for partners who want to make Michigan a better place. MIS is an impressive business partner and we could not be more enthusiastic to join their efforts while having a little fun with MIS fans from across the state.”
The Victory Lane Club at Michigan International Speedway will now be called the Farm Bureau Insurance Victory Lane Club. The track and Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan have mixed the intensity and skill of a 14-second pit stop with the luxury of catered food and unlimited beverages for the ultimate fan experience.
Located in the Pit Road Suites directly above Pit Lane, fans will be able to see and feel the action on the track, then sit back and enjoy resort-quality food service. The Farm Bureau Insurance Victory Lane Club also provides a rooftop deck that allows fans and their guests to watch all the action at MIS. It’s a great way to entertain key clients, reward employees or to put yourself in the middle of all of the action.
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams will prepare for the FireKeepers Casino 400 and Pure Michigan 400 races in the Farm Bureau Insurance Garage. The garage sponsorship is a unique way to reach all the guests at NASCAR’s fastest track. The company will benefit from advertising and brand engagement at Michigan International Speedway.
In addition to the physical garage, Farm Bureau Insurance is now also the presenting sponsor of the Farm Bureau Garage, a weekly digital newsletter published during the NASCAR season powered by Motor Racing Network. The company who is dedicated to educating insurance customers is now helping keep MIS fans informed with all the latest and relevant insider information.
Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan will also be the official insurance provider of MIS.
“Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan has been a great partner for many years and it is exciting to see them get more involved in the track,” MIS President Roger Curtis said. “We have long shared the same passion as Farm Bureau of leaving our great state in better shape for our children than we found it. Farm Bureau recognized how dedicated our fans were to protecting the environment and how they do their part each race weekend. It makes the partnership even better when you can find organizations who share a similar passion for the environment as our fans and now they share the same passion for NASCAR.”
Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan, a town of about 1,200, is one of only 23 facilities in the world to hold such an event. The racetrack seats more than 72,000 people in its grandstands, with tens of thousands of others in the infield, suites and campgrounds that will all be introduced to the Farm Bureau Insurance brand in June and August.
Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan was founded in 1949 by Michigan farmers who wanted an insurance company that worked as hard as they did. Those values still guide the company today and are a big reason why they are known as Michigan’s Insurance Company, dedicated to protecting the farms, families, and businesses of this great state. Farm Bureau Insurance agents across Michigan provide a full range of insurance services—life, home, auto, farm, business, retirement, Lake Estate®, and more—protecting nearly 500,000 Michigan policyholders.
Nestled in the lush Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is the Great Escape, a venerable NASCAR national park where fans can get away and enjoy the very best in racing and camaraderie. It’s the love of racing and the thrill of a great time for race fans and drivers alike.
