It’s Spring Break, NASCAR-style, and fans coming to the Good Sam 500 race weekend are encouraged to take advantage of the exclusive food and beverage offerings – only at PIR – including the Two-wide Spicy Tempura Burger and the Fuzzy’s Desert Mule.
A collaboration between PIR and Americrown, the Two-wide Spicy Tempura Burger is a tempura battered all Natural grass fed-beef patty topped with ham, charred peppers, Yancy’s Fancy jalapeno cayenne cheddar cheese and pineapple ketchup on a whole wheat bun. The unique twist on the classic burger was developed by Americrown’s Chef Carl Van Wagner, the same chef who developed last year’s popular CARBuretor Crunch.
The Two-wide Spicy Tempura Burger can be purchased for $10 at the food row behind Bryan Allison and A.J. Foyt Grandstands. Fans will also have the opportunity for social media bragging rights with a photo station declaring, “I went Two-Wide.”
New this year, PIR partnered with new track sponsor the award-winning “Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka,” and Chaco Flaco Unusually Delicious Drink Mixers to create the Fuzzy’s Desert Mule.
PIR’s spin on the classic mixology includes Fuzzy’s Premium Vodka, Chaco Flaco Berry Mojito Mix, Ginger Beer and ice. The 10oz signature cocktail can also be purchased at the Start Finish Line Grill or the new Busch Garage (formerly known as SPEED Cantina) for $9.
“With food and drinks being such an important part of the race day fan experience, we asked our chefs to create a one-of-a-kind delights that fans can’t get anywhere else,” said Kristie Maggs, Senior Director of Consumer Marketing & Partnership Activation. “Just like NASCAR, these creations are a new twist on classic Americana with a little extra horsepower.”
Tickets for the Good Sam 500 are available starting at $25; and tickets and pit passes may be purchased online at PhoenixRaceway.com, by phone at 866-408-RACE (7223) or in person at the track ticket office.
