Seuss Goes For Second Consecutive Victory At Track
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour returns to South Boston Speedway this Saturday for the South Boston 150. One driver that’s looking forward to coming back to the historic track is Andy Seuss.
The two-time defending champion enters the race as the only driver with multiple wins at the tight .4-mile track. Seuss won the inaugural Whelen Southern Modified Tour event in 2009 and backed that up with wins in 2014 and last September.
Seuss currently sits nine points out of the championship lead behind Burt Myers (90) and George Brunnhoelzl III (84), who have split the first two race wins this season. Myers won the opener at Caraway Speedway and Brunnhoelzl last Saturday at Concord Speedway.
Kyle Ebersole, the South Boston fall 2014 victor, joins Seuss and Brunnhoelzl as the only previous race winners entered at South Boston. He’ll look to rebound after motor issues ended his night early last week at Concord.
Seuss, Brunnhoelzl and Jason Myers are the only drivers in the field who have started all previous nine southern modified races held at the track since 2009.
