SAUBLE BEACH, Ont. (April 8, 2016) – Andrew Gresel and Sauble Falls Racing is proud to announce F1 Freight Systems has joined the team as a primary sponsor for the 2016 season.
F1 Freight Systems will be featured on Gresel’s APC Late Model Series and OSCAAR Super Late Model cars as well as the team’s race hauler. The Sauble Beach, Ont. native plans to compete in as many as 14 events throughout a busy summer.
“It definitely brings a lot of excitement for us to have them as a main sponsor on our car. They’re a family owned company and they’re going to be out to the racetrack. It should be a lot of fun,” Gresel said excitedly. “We’re always trucking from track to track, so it goes together well. You’ll see them coming down the road.”
F1 Freight Systems specialize in cross-border transportation between Canada and the United States, and offer truckload, less-than-truckload (LTL) and expedited transportation services in seven Canadian provinces, and 37 States, including Alaska and Hawaii. F1 offers temperature controlled transportation on a CSA approved, Canada and US bonded carrier.
F1 Freight Systems is a provider of dependable transportation, logistics and warehousing solutions. F1 Freight Systems is small enough to know the individual needs of each customer and big enough to meet any requirements.
“With Andrew being part of a second-generation race team, we found a lot of similarities in our passion for what we do. We too are a second generation transportation business, and like a great racing team, our entire ‘family’ of drivers, owner/operators, office and warehouse staff work together as a team everyday to get the job done, and more importantly support each other through challenges that come up with the goal of success at the end of each day,” said Chris Strank, F1 Freight Systems general manager.
Joining the Sauble Falls Racing team marks the first time F1 Freight Systems has partnered with a short track racing team. With so many potential truck drivers at each short track race in Ontario, the partnership was a natural fit for F1.
“We want to help promote their name and get them in front of race fans. They’re constantly growing,” Gresel said.
“We are very excited to partner with Sauble Falls Racing Team this year. F1 Freight Systems is currently in the middle of an exciting period of growth and felt it was a great time to partner with a successful race team like Andrew’s as a way of expanding our brand across a great group of race fans across Ontario,” explained Strank. “Being able to show our support within Ontario is important to us.”
The sponsorship adds to the Sauble Falls Racing team’s championship caliber operation and will help provide extra personnel and testing operations.
“We need more guys helping us. We’re on the road and we’re testing a lot more,” Gresel explained. “It will allow us to test and to have more help at the racetrack.”
After a rough start to the 2015 season, Gresel’s Sauble Falls team finished the year with a trio of wins.
“We took the win at Sunset, which was good for us because we don’t normally run well there. After that, we went to Frostoberfest and got both wins there, so it was a good way to end,” Gresel explained.
Gresel and the Sauble Falls team believe their testing opportunities and support from F1 Freight Systems will enable them to build off their late-season success en route to a fast start in 2016.
