KVSH Racing, along with California Baptist University, have formed an innovative partnership that will allow it’s college of engineering students to collaborate with the KVSH engineering team through the 2016 IndyCar season including the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 in May. CBU will be the primary sponsor of Sebastien Bourdais, driver of No. 11 KVSH Racing Chevrolet, for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. They will also serve as an associate partner for the remainder of the 2016 season.
This program will enable 20 CBU students during the Long Beach race to have access to KVSH Racing so they can observe and learn the intricacies of engineering high-performance IndyCars. During the month of May, selected students will be embedded with the team for the Indy 500.
“The time has come for us to focus intently on the next wave of engineering talent for the (Verizon) IndyCar Series,” said James “Sulli” Sullivan KVSH co-owner. “This program gives California Baptist University an opportunity to give its engineering students a hands-on education into the world of high-performance vehicles and what makes them tick. These CBU students are some of the brightest we have seen and we’re all looking forward to having them as part of the KVSH Racing team.”
The Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach is Sunday April 17th.
