KANSAS CITY, Kansas (May 4, 2016) – – After nearly a five-week sabbatical, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) driver Tyler Young is ready to get back to business this weekend at Kansas Speedway and he’ll return to the new circuit with some new support for Friday night’s Toyota Tundra 250.
For the fourth race of the season, Young’s Motorsports welcomes Interlock Tech Solutions as the primary marketing partner of the team’s No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado.
Based in Dallas, Texas, Interlock Tech Solutions is a leading provider in affordable business IT Solutions, IT Support and Repair Services.
The company born in October 2009 specializes in dental management, commercial audio visual, automation and surveillance systems.
“We’re excited to have Interlock Tech Solutions onboard with us this weekend at Kansas,” said Young. “It seems forever since we’ve been on the racetrack, so I’m looking forward to getting back behind the wheel and getting back to work.”
Interlock couldn’t have chosen a more opportune time to partner with the Midland, Texas native. Not only is Young thriving in his third full year of competition, but he has the results to prove it.
After three races this season, the 25-year-old has recorded a career-best sixth place performance in the season-opening event at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, while delivering two back-to-back 13th place finishes at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway and Martinsville (Va.) Speedway respectively earning the Mooresville, North Carolina-based team an average finish of 10th after three races.
The team’s solid start has propelled Young to fourth in championship points with 20 races remaining this season.
“I couldn’t be prouder of this Young’s Motorsports team,” added Young. “When the season started, we knew we were coming to the track prepared, but a lot of hard work has paid off with us sitting fourth in points heading to Kansas Speedway this weekend. We’re taking the same mentality to the track again this weekend and hope it pays off with another strong finish for our No. 02 Interlock Tech Solutions Chevrolet Silverado.”
Young has two prior starts at the 1.5-mile speedway. In both races, the Texan finished 23rd. Friday night, Young is hoping third times a charm.
“I really like Kansas Speedway, but it hasn’t led us to the Land of Oz,” joked Young. “Even though we didn’t have the best qualifying effort at Atlanta, we were extremely satisfied with our results at Atlanta, a track with similar characteristics. We have three practice sessions on Thursday and I’m hoping we can utilize that track time to dial in our No. 02 Interlock Tech Solutions Chevrolet Silverado and get it ready to race.”
Kansas marks the first of three consecutive races for the NCWTS tour with stops at Dover (Del.) International Speedway and Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway before a brief two-week break with competition resuming at Young’s hometown track of Texas Motor Speedway on Jun. 10.
