“The 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 is a signature milestone is the history of ‘The Greatest Spectacle in Racing’,” said Bill Hynes, Founder & CEO of United Fiber and Data. “We could not pass up the opportunity to sponsor Carlos Munoz and Andretti Autosport for the 100th Running of the Indy 500.
“As the largest attended sporting even in the work of auto racing, the 100th Running of the Indy 500 will allow UFD to demonstrate the diversity and speed of our strategic fiber-optic offerings to a global audience.”
United Fiber and Data is technology company based in Pennsylvania that was formed by members of the Rock band LIVE. Their expertise includes Dark Fiber, Data Center and Cloud computing.
“Music and fast cars go hand-in-hand and nothing says rock n’ roll more than the Indy 500,” said Chad Taylor, multi-platinum guitarist of the band LIVE. “It’s going to be fun to see what Carlos can do, he’s proven to be a strong competitor on ovals, and having already won an Indy 500 ring with Ryan Hunter-Reay… I’m thirsty for some more milk. No doubt this sport is addictive and having the band LIVE on the car is an honor.”
United Fiber and Data were a partner for Andretti Autosport back in 2013 and 2014. They have returned this season to the team and as co-primary sponsor of the No. 27 Honda of Marco Andretti.
“United Fiber & Data has come back strong in 2016 and we’re please to have Carlos carry the UFD colors for the Indy 500,” said Michael Andretti, Andretti Autosport team owner. “We look forward to having Bill, Chad and the band join us for the historic race.”
