by Tommy Goudge (May 19, 2016) – Caistor Centre, Ontario – While they’ve already been on the track a few times this year, Jamie Turner and sons Cory and Ryan are ready to get into the meat of their 2016 racing schedule this weekend.
Two championship chases start this weekend for the team; Ohsweken Speedway’s weekly 360 Sprint Car program kicks off on Friday, May 20, and the Southern Ontario Sprints series begins onSaturday, May 21 at Brighton Speedway.
Jamie is back in his familiar #11 this season, while Ryan’s #91 has a new look for his sophomore season, and Cory has switched to #97 for his new ride with the Hill’s Racing Team.
The team has steadily progressed over the past few seasons, and all three drivers will be looking to improve on their 2015 results. Jamie and Cory picked up the first feature wins of their Sprint Car careers last year, while Ryan was the Rookie of the Year both at Ohsweken and with the SOS tour.
“We want to thank all our returning partners and team members, and welcome the new ones who have come on board for the 2016 season,” Jamie noted. “It takes a lot to keep these cars on the track for 30 to 40 races each season, and we couldn’t do it without their support.
