Brandon Jones at Charlotte Motor Speedway… Brandon Jones will be making his second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday night while driving the No. 71 Hope For The Warriors Chevrolet Silverado. In 2015, Jones made his first start at the intermediate track, recording a 15th-place start and a 13th-place finish while completing all 139 laps attempted.
Sharing HOPE during Military Appreciation Month… Brandon Jones will debut a new paint scheme he created for his friends at Hope For The Warriors, a military nonprofit that supports post-9/11 service members, veterans and their families across the country. Jones hopes that the red-white-blue-and-camo paint scheme will draw attention to the to the organization’s mission and spur donations from fans during Military Appreciation Month. Celebrating their 10th anniversary, Hope For The Warriors provides comprehensive support programs for service members, veterans and military families that are focused on transition, health and wellness, peer engagement and connections to community resources. Jones has been an active supporter of Hope For The Warriors for some time and is underwriting the entire cost of the race sponsorship for the organization. Prepping for the XFINITY Series Race… Jones will look to gather valuable data and seat time while racing the Hope For The Warriors Chevrolet Silverado this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway, as the 19-year-old will also race the No. 33 Chevrolet Camaro in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) event at the speedway next Saturday, May 28. A full-time competitor in the NXS, Jones is currently ranked seventh in the NXS championship standings in his rookie season.
Dover In the Rearview Mirror… Last weekend, Jones made his 2016 NCWTS debut at Dover International Speedway in the AAA Mid-Atlantic Chevrolet. After starting on the front row and racing inside the top-three for the opening 40 laps, Jones spun while trying to avoid another spinning competitor, which resulted in flattened tires and minor chassis damage. With long green flag runs defining the event, the AAA Mid-Atlantic team wasn’t able to regain the track position lost as a result of the incident and Jones crossed the finish line in the 20th position.

FROM THE DRIVER’S SEAT:
Jones on Charlotte… “I expect Charlotte to be one of my best mile-and-a-half tracks. I’ve been able to test there multiple times and also ran last year’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race there. With having so much time on the track, I’ve been able to notice how it’s changed and I think it will give our Hope For The Warriors team a little advantage going into practice on Thursday afternoon.”
Why Support Hope For The Warriors… “I’m so excited to have Hope For The Warriors on our truck this weekend. For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a really big interest in the military and what they do on a daily basis. Over the last year, I’ve had a chance to get to know some of the people at Hope For The Warriors; I’ve met the people that use their services and I’ve seen the difference that they make with veterans, service members and military families.
“It’s always a privilege to spend time with the service members they bring to the track; it’s funny, they think my job is cool, but I think their job is just as cool and way more important. To be able to build those relationships through Hope For The Warriors and take part in that camaraderie has been very special for me.”
