All the hard work put in by the ADAMS Motorsports team over the off-season paid off on the first night of racing, as Luke Gignac posted a fifth place finish in the OSCAAR Modified season opener at Flamboro Speedway.
Gignac started off the weekend well, finishing third and fourth in his heats to give him the pole for the feature on Sunday. He’d start off the race strongly, leading a couple laps before fading back a bit to cross the line in fifth.
Notably, this past weekend’s event marked Gignac’s first weekend behind the wheel of a modified and first in OSCAAR competition after many years of thunder car experience.
The next race for the OSCAAR Modifieds at Delaware Speedway on June 3. It’ll mark Gignac’s first trip to the half-mile oval located in London, Ontario, however the ADAMS Motorsports team knows what it takes to do well there following a top-five last year.
ADAMS Motorsports is proud to be supported by PBS Motors & Pumps, Wolseley Canada, Dave Wiggins Custom Exhaust, OTD Building Supplies, Fox’s Bakery and Deli, TSS Top Shops, Wix Filters, Heritage Heating Contractors, Duckworths Fish and Chips Orillia, and Dwinnel’s Family Movers would also be back on board on sponsor for 2016.
