Following the first two night of the year, Jordan Latimer is probably searching for a lucky rabbit’s foot or lucky horseshoe with how the first couple of weeks have gone. With issues in both features, the third-generation racer certainly didn’t post the intended results he hoped for.
Latimer started off the night by posting a time of 15.604 seconds in time trials, resulting in him starting deep in the feature. He looked to gain ground in the early stages, but was caught some damage in a crash at Lap 13, resulting in a trip down pit road for repairs.
Restarting at the tail end of the field, he wasn’t able to make up much ground before the checkered flag, resulting in a 22nd place finish.
The finish meant that he’d have to start deep in the field for the second feature. He’d make up some positions, but remained near the back till an issue took him out of the running, resulting in a DNF.
With only one top-15 finish to start the season, Latimer will certainly be looking forward to returning to the track on June 11 in hopes of turning his fate around for the better.
