By Tommy Goudge (June 22, 2016) Six Nations, Ontario – Alex Hill has had a busy season racing all over North America, but the 16 year old will stick close to home this weekend in order to focus on her final exams. Alex will race at her home track at Ohsweken Speedway this Friday, while the rest of her weekend schedule has yet to be determined.
Alex has run her #77x Sprint Car 23 times in 2016, and seen another 11 races rained out. Her most recent races took place last weekend, with a start at Ohsweken on Friday, followed by a Saturdayvisit to Waynesfield, Ohio against the National Racing Alliance.
Alex advanced from 4th to 2nd in her heat race on Friday at Ohsweken. She drew the 5th starting position for the A-Feature, but eventually fell back to finish 17th.
Saturday’s heat race at Waynesfield found Alex finishing 7th in her heat race, which gave her the 21st starting spot for the A-Feature. She advanced to pass teammate Cory Turner and finish 15th.
Summer officially started this week, and Alex’s schedule will heat up once her exams are finished.
