Battling hard all 30 laps, Jade Franklin posted another top-10 finish on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
The teenager started off the night by finishing fifth in his heat, followed by a runner-up finish in the b-main to put him into the redraw for the feature.
Pulling 10 for the feature, Franklin was set to make up some ground early, while avoiding any early trouble that may ensue. Unfortunately, he drop outside of the top-10 in the early laps, running 11th as of the first caution of the event at Lap 18.
He began to make ground following the restart, battling side-by-side with Treyten Lapcevich with five laps to go for eighth. He was able to get himself in front of Lapcevich when the checkered flag flew, completing the 30-lap feature in the eighth spot.
