Ahead of this weekend’s racing action, Alex Tagliani and Summer of Tag are kicking off an innovative to raise awareness about food allergies in Canada.
The Quebec native in partnership with Food Allergy Canada will launch the Allergy-Friendly Food Drive Challenge at downtown Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square on Thursday, July 14 (11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.). With his No. 18 Team EpiPen Pinty’s Series car on-hand, Tagliani will be speaking about his own experience with food allergies while encouraging attenders to donate non-perishable allergy-friendly food.
For fans whom attend and donate, the first 18 will receive a ticket to the Honda Indy Pinty’s Series (valid in Toronto on July 16, 2016), after which fans will receive a signed Alex Tagliani t-shirt while supplies last. Donations will be accepted from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The Allergy-Friendly Food Drive is not just limited to Ontario, though, as he will be hosting an event in conjunction with five more races on the NASCAR Pinty’s Series schedule.
