Canada’s Best Racing Team is set to enter five cars into this weekend’s Pinty’s Grand Prix of Toronto as Jason White will drive the No. 21 MyGMCtruckstore.com Chevrolet this weekend.
“I really am stoked to return to the streets of Toronto, it’s such a driver’s track and the event is just a great vibe! I’m really looking forward to a solid top ten finish,” commented White. “Rob Zimmer and the MyGMCtruckstore.com brand have jumped on board; it’s really awesome to be teamed back up with Rob! The two of us started this NASCAR Pinty’s Series adventure over 10 years ago, and since I’ll be back in a Chevy for the Grand Prix, we can continue a great legacy.”
“I would really like to thank the CBRT for putting this deal together, Joey McColm has built a top notch organization and I’ll do my best to represent them well…on and off track. It takes a lot of effort to put these deals together, so I am very grateful to all parties that have stepped up.”
This will mark the British Columbia native’s 86th start in the Pinty’s Series and second of the 2016 season. Notably, he has made two previous starts on the streets of Toronto.
White will be joined in Toronto by Larry Jackson, Josh Collins, Kevin Poitras and Robin Buck this weekend.
“We’re extremely happy to announce that Jason will be joining us for such a historic event,” commented CBRT general manager Joey McColm. “He’s a strong racer with a lot of experience under his belt – we can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together in Toronto.”
