Terry Woodley kept his strong season to date going, posting a top-10 finish at Sunset Speedway on Saturday night.
Unfortunately, the night didn’t start off cleanly as Woodley found himself involved in a small incident in the opening heat. Jake Watson got a little sideways, causing Nic Montanari to check-up and get spun by Woodley. Woodley was able to keep going, completing the 10-lap affair in the seventh position.
He then came back out for the fast qualifier’s dash, running into more issues with a spin on the backstretch on Lap 6. He’d then pull off the track afterwards to the pits.
Starting third for the feature, Woodley fell back some spots in the opening laps, though stayed out of trouble as he fell back in line in the seventh spot at Lap 9. Woodley continued to run solidly till Montanari got alongside him with seven laps to go, completing the pass at Lap 19. As a result, Woodley crossed the finish line in the eighth spot.
Notably, Woodley has posted 23 straight top-10 finishes dating all the way back to last season.
