Despite being involved in two wrecks during the night, Lisa DeLeeuw came home with a top-10 finish.
The night didn’t start off pretty as in the first heat, four-wide in turns one and two on Lap 3 resulted in Lisa DeLeeuw making contact with the outside wall.
With her incident in the heat, she’d be forced to start 19th for the 20-lap feature. She wasted no time in working at making ground, escaping by a spinning Doug Smith barely on Lap 3. She’d continue to make ground following the restart, though found herself facing the wrong direction in the grass following contact at Lap 5.
Restarting 14th with 16 laps to go, she began to make up ground immediately, ultimately crossing the finish line in the 10th position.
