By Tommy Goudge (September 16, 2016) Six Nations, Ontario – Alex Hill and her #77x Sprint Car team are ready for one of their biggest events of the season, along with an armada of Hill’s Racing teammates.
Alex spent last weekend racing in New York with the Empire Super Sprints tour, with races Saturday at Can-Am Motorsports Park, and Sunday with a 47 car field in the $10,000-to-win Cole Cup at Utica-Rome Speedway.
Both tracks were new to Alex, and she gained valuable experience on ultra-slick surfaces, but wasn’t able to transfer to either A-Feature.
The team is ready for the 12th annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals this weekend at Ohsweken Speedway. More than 70 cars are expected to compete, including Alex and teammates Dain Naida, Cory Turner, Parker Price-Miller, and 2014 Canadian Sprint Car Nationals winner Jessica Friesen (formerly Zemken).
Price-Miller will be racing on Saturday only, as he was recently tabbed as an injury replacement for Paul McMahan in the Destiny Motorsports #7 on the World of Outlaws tour. “The Law Firm” finished 3rd in last year’s CSCN A-Feature in one of the closest finishes in Ohsweken history.
Turner will be in a brand new car this weekend, as he went for a wild ride at Merrittville Speedway last Friday.
