Battling hard throughout the 50-lap event, Terry Woodley finished the Autumn Colours Classic with a top-10 finish.
The Carpenter started off the weekend solidly, finishing third in the first heat, followed by a fifth in his second heat.
Come feature time, Woodley put himself up front early, running eighth as of Lap 5. He continued to run there till just before the first caution at Lap 21, when he slipped back to the ninth spot. He got a solid restart, continuing to run ninth, till an incident on Lap 30 which happened ahead of him. He was able to escape getting any damage, moving up to the sixth spot.
Another solid restart, Woodley slipped back a single spot to seventh before the caution flew for a second time on Lap 34. He ran seventh all the way till Lap 38, when he was passed by Rick Spencer-Walt. He was then bumped back to ninth on Lap 43 courtesy of Craig Kamrath.
He held on to the spot, crossing the line in ninth for a solid top-10 performance. For Woodley, it marks his 27th top-10 finish in the last 29 races dating all the way back to last season.
It’s worth noting NFC Motorsports participated in the APC Youngguns Showcase on Friday night, with Sunset Speedway Super Stock regular Coltin Everingham behind the wheel. Everingham ran eighth in the early stages of the event, moving up to sixth through the middle portion of the 20-lap affair. He’d cross the finish line in sixth.
