JR Motorsports has announced that they have added a new sponsorship for Michael Annett, signing TMC Transportation for multiple races for the 2017 season beginning at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The nation’s largest employee-owned open deck transportation company based out of Des Moines, Iowa joins Pilot/Flying J as sponsors on his No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro in the NASCAR XFINITY Series.
“We’re proud to be able to announce the addition of TMC to JR Motorsports and our #5 team,” said Kelley Earnhardt Miller, general manager of JR Motorsports. “TMC is no stranger to our sport, and we want to focus on building a strong and sustainable partnership with them in the Xfinity Series. We’re looking ahead to seeing Michael compete on track with TMC later this season.”
Annett, a Des Moines, Iowa native, is in his ninth full-time season in NASCAR and his first with JR Motorsports in the XFINITY Series. TMC made their NASCAR debut with Annett back at Eldora Speedway in a one-off NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start in July 2014.
“We’re looking forward to continuing our partnership with Michael as he competes for the championship in the NASCAR Xfinity Series,” said Jason Webb, TMC’s Executive Vice President, Asset Management. “It is even more exciting now that he is driving for JR Motorsports, one of the most successful race teams in NASCAR.”
