Joe Gibbs Racing and Matt Kenseth announced this afternoon that Circle K Convenience Stores are jumping on board the No. 20 Toyota Camry for six races in 2017 beginning with Richmond International Raceway next weekend.
Circle K Convenience stores will sponsor the No. 20 Toyota Camry beginning at Richmond then again the following weekend at the Talladega Superspeedway. They will return at Charlotte, Kentucky, Texas and Phoenix.
It is not Circle K’s first venture into NASCAR as they have been the associate sponsor on the No. 22 Ford Fusion of Joey Logano. They also sponsor a World Rally Cross entry driven by Scott Speed. In the past they have sponsored IndyCar drivers Marco Andretti, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Sébastien Bourdais and NHRA Funny Car driver John Hale.
Despite not having a victory this season heading into Bristol, the team has to keep their spirits up heading to a track that they have won at twice and with rain in the forecast a repeat from 2015 has to be on the minds of Joe Gibbs Racing.
