As NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers return from a break lasting more than a month, the series was back on track for a Thursday afternoon practice at Dover International Speedway.
Canadian driver Stewart Friesen was fastest in the hour-long session. He turned 24 laps on the track and posted a fast lap of 23.107 seconds. Behind Friesen was GMS Racing driver Johnny Sauter, who was nearly four tenths of a second slower than Friesen’s No. 52 Chevrolet.
Myatt Snider was third in practice followed by rookies Todd Gilliland and Dalton Sargeant. Noah Gragson was sixth, while Harrison Burton, Brett Moffitt, Justin Haley and Ben Rhodes rounded out the top-10.
Only 27 of 33 entrants made a lap in the opening session.
