Veteran sports car racer and 2011 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year winner Andy Lally will return to NASCAR XFINITY Series action for three races beginning in August.
Lally, a five-time Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona class winner, will run the No. 90 Henry Repeating Arms Chevrolet for DGM (Mario Gosselin) Racing at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Road America and the Charlotte Motor Speedway roval.
“I couldn’t be happier to return to NASCAR competition,” stated Lally. “Mario Gosselin and everyone at DGM Motorsports have been working to find a way to get me back behind the wheel, and thanks to the efforts of Henry Repeating Arms this is finally all possible. I’m excited to get back and feel like we’ve unfinished business after the last two years. The team always does a great job getting the car prepared, and we’re all very focused on getting the most out of the effort.”
Lally has 60 series starts between the three premier series in NASCAR, including eight in the XFINITY Series. He has four top-10s in those eight starts, one of which came at Mid-Ohio last year where he finished fifth.
