Joey Logano will compete for a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series championship Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Logano qualified for the Championship 4 by winning at Martinsville Speedway.
Logano’s 2019 season has been solid scoring two wins, 12 top-fives, 25 top-10’s, and one pole. Logano has led 854 laps this season and has an average finish of 10.9.
Logano has had a strong season, but how does he perform at Homestead?
Logano has zero wins in the season finale event, but has managed two top-fives, four top-tens, and a pole position. A driver rating of 89 places him tenth on the all-time list at the speedway.
Logano fell out of last week’s race at ISM Raceway with a blown tire but does not feel it will hinder his momentum. “No, I don’t think so. These things are out of your control, so it doesn’t really knock your confidence down because there’s not much you can do about it anyway”, said Logano.
Logano, who has never won a MENCS title will battle three former champions for the 2019 championship. The drivers competing against Logano are – defending series champion, Martin Truex Jr, 2014 series champion, Kevin Harvick, and 2015 series champion, Kyle Busch for the championship.
