BARRIE, ON- NASCAR Canadian Tire Series regular Mark Dilley has filed entry for June 1st’s OSCAAR Super Late Model tour event at Kawartha Speedway.
The Barrie, ON veteran will pilot a Dwayne Baker-owned ride, in his second career OSCAAR Super Late Model appearance at the Fraserville oval.
“Dwayne and I have been great friends for a really long time”, explained Dilley. “So, when he offered me the ride, it was a no brainer to accept”
“I don’t have a whole tonne of experience in this style of car, so there’ll be a bit of a feeling out process”, continued Dilley. “But, once we get the hang of the car, it’ll be like anything else I’ve raced – strap in and hang on”
The former CASCAR National Champion will join a number of top-tier talent in the June 1st event, including Jeff Hanley, 4-time tour champion Glenn Watson and 2013 Autumn Colours Classic titlist Andrew Gresel.
“It’s gonna be a tonne of fun getting out there with the level of talent the OSCAAR tour draws”, said Dilley. “The OSCAAR drivers are every bit as talented as the NCATS regulars we get to race against on a regular basis. It’s going to be a challenge, but I can’t wait to see how we stack up”
Dilley’s OSCAAR appearance will be made possible thanks to Baker Performance Parts, Zancor Homes, Four Valley Excavating, Clearview Heating & Cooling, G.D. Coates Suzuki, Wild Wing of South Barrie, Leland Industries and Johnsonville Sausage.
