July 14, 2014. The NASCAR Canadian Tire series is back in action this Wednesday evening with round number five at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway in Saskatoon, SK. Canada’s Best Racing Team (CBRT) with driver Joey McColm behind the wheel looks to continue their western success at the lightning quick oval.
The #25 CBRT Dodge team scored their best finish of the season in Edmonton with a sixth place result on Friday evening and McColm believes the western road trip has given the team a chance to reset and invigorated the team personnel.
“When we left for the west I wanted everyone to relax and loosen up a bit, we built some fun activity into this trip as well and it’s made a big difference. Our team was working so hard and almost trying to do too much and I like where we are now” stated McColm.
With brand new equipment to start the season the #25 CBRT Dodge team struggled a bit early but that now appears to be well in the past. “It took a while to figure out this new car but we took some big swings and we’re learning and figuring it out” said McColm.
The 1/3 mile oval at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway has seen plenty of great racing action since the series arrived and McColm is looking forward to being part of it. “It’s a track that you can race side by side on and really battle” he stated. “The fan support for the race has been awesome and we’re excited to be part of it”.
Joey McColm and the #25 CBRT Dodge will hit the track at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway Wednesday afternoon for practice. Qualifying is at 5:1PM and the 250 lap race begins at 7:30PM. (All times local)
