Thursday night, the Les Enterprises MP Roy Inc Upstate Racing League Pro Late Model Series rolled into the Granite State for the Inaugural URL All-Star Race. Sixteen of the URL’s best were set to duel at the Magic Mile located in Loudon, New Hampshire for three segments totaling 95 laps of racing action. Who would walk away with the trophy and the bragging rights?
VTFantasyRacing.com Race Recap:
After starting from the NHR Pole, Segment One (25 laps) would belong to three-time series champion Justin Fuller. Brandon Oddo would finish second followed by AJ Bunch, Showdown winner Erik Haag and Al Smith Jr. in the top five.
For Segment Two, the field would be inverted which meant Segment One winner Justin Fuller would start the segment from sixteenth. This segment would be wild with three and four wide racing all over the track and many positions shuffling during the 35 laps. After a spin in Segment One, Stefan Marinak would go on to claim Segment Two followed by Al Smith Jr., Erik Haag, AJ Bunch and Brandon Oddo in the top five.
This would set up the final 35 lap segment with a four way tie in points setting the stage. Brandon Oddo, Al Smith Jr., Erik Haag, and AJ Bunch were all tied heading into the final segment which meant that whoever finished the highest out of the four of them would be the Inaugural Les Enterprises MP Roy All-Star Race winner. Brandon Oddo would drive a clean segment and pickup the segment win and the Inaugural All-Star Race victory. Stefan Marinak would finish the segment in second, and would finish second overall in the final race results with AJ Bunch finishing the segment in fifth giving him the final podium position.
Next week, the URL heads to the Oxford Plains Speedway for the Hanson Starter Shop 125. Coverage begins at 9:30 PM EST on LSRTV. Stay tuned to the website and Facebook page for all news and updates regarding the league. From everyone at the URL, have a Happy New Year!
